BIOME: Futures of Biodesign & Biofabrication

This project explores the real possibility of developing living materials by harnessing the behaviour and growth patterns of slime mould. It sits at the intersection of design and biology, probing what happens when the boundary between the designed and the alive begins to blur. BIOME is an experimental Biodesign project, integrating living organisms into materials to thereby create functional products, prototyping adaptive material systems and care practices to enable community-led, more-than-human futures.
